Greg is the father of two children who are deaf. He is an advocate for the very different needs of his children, as well as the needs of all children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

His daughter Nicole is a bilateral cochlear implant user who exemplifies today's potential through the blessings of technology and early intervention. With Nicole, Greg and his wife Shelley chose an auditory-verbal approach to help her learn to listen with her cochlear implants. Today Nicole matches her hearing peers in language, speech, and academic abilities. She simply does not hear the same as those of us with typical hearing.

His daughter Josselin cannot be helped by a cochlear implant and she did not receive any language help in the first seven years of her life in her native country. Although she is greatly impacted by her pre-lingual language deprivation, her story is one of great courage and faith that God helps us to find a way. Greg and Shelley chose Cued English through Cued Speech and also Signed English as the communication tools to help Josselin learn language and receive an education.

Greg is also the oldest son of two parents who are deaf.
